Moge Tee, as a company, was originally established in mainland China. But have branched out to the US as well. The brand’s goals are to introduce their “New-Style Tea” to change perceptions about tea, and to make their products accessible to all communities.

On Plymouth Road, in the Traver Village Shopping Center, is Moge Tee, a local bubble tea shop.

They have a wide variety of drinks, including boba, fruit tea, and matcha. You can also customize your drink, with an assortment of toppings to choose from. Like popping boba, cheese foam, and even oreos. You can also change the sweetness level and the amount of ice. In addition to tea, Moge Tee also sells crepes.

The service is quick and respectful, and doesn’t interact with the customers that much. Getting your order might take a bit of time because they brew the tea in-house, about 7-8 minutes. You can pay either in cash, or Apple Pay. To pay in cash, you have to order on the machine near the counter. And you can order with Apple Pay in any other kiosk.

But unlike other brands, Moge Tee uses fresh and natural ingredients. Using imported tea leaves to create an authentic, but modern take on tea. These do make the drink a little more expensive than competitors, with prices being around $6-7 for a drink with no toppings.

The outside of the shop doesn’t really stand out much and I don’t think that the owners did that much about the interior. But there are a few tables and chairs for you to sit in. There isn’t a bathroom or a trash can in the store, but I think that’s just a space issue.

In addition to just being a bubble tea shop, it is an optimal place to hang out after school. “For me, I feel like Moge Tee is a good place to have quick hangouts,” eighth grader Andre Yang said. “I’ve made a lot of relationships stronger at Moge Tee.”

Moge Tee is a close place to go after school and get a drink. Even though it might not be optimal for study sessions and if the drinks are too expensive, you can almost guarantee getting a fresh, high quality drink every time.
