“A Minecraft Movie” directed by Jared Hess overall was a very funny and entertaining movie with plot twists.
This movie had very interesting characters. One of the characters/main character was a little boy (voiced by actor Sebastian Hansen) who was very smart and everyone realized that he was really better off in the minecraft world but he decided to go back to his home.
The movie was very well-planned out — there was a challenge like in most movies so the theme of the movie wasn’t different then other movies but the movie art and characters were very unique; they used actors very well. The theme of this movie was trying to not die and let the evil pig; This evil pig runs The Nether.This pig is evil because when she was young her dad ruined her dreams to be a dance and just for her to mine gold, gold is the only thing that the pigs in the nether care about mining gold. The ruler wants to take over the minecraft world and destroy the overworld which is what they call it in the movie.
The art looked very realistic and the jokes were funny, noticing that when I was watching this movie, people were laughing out loud in the movie theater. One of my favorites was when at the last few minutes of the movie the villain was dying. The original person who had found the portal to get to the minecraft world knew that the evil pig was going to try to stab Steve the actor Jack Black with a knife. He had seen it coming, she was so weak he knew it and immediately smacked it out of her hand and proceeded to do this another time and the same thing happened and then she died with all her other pigs.
As a Minecraft player, this movie was the same as the game compared to the video game, that is another thing that made this movie so good is that the video game was the same as this movie, not changing anything about the game to confuse people. I would rate this movie 8.5/10. This movie is still in the theaters.
