Because of the sleet, freezing rain and heavy snowfall, the roads are considered too dangerous to drive on.
On Wednesday Dec. 10, AAPS superiors Jazz Parks sent out an email that due to the combination of freezing rain, heavy snowfall and sub freezing temperatures, all schools would be closed for the day.
“Due to icy road conditions in the Ann Arbor area this morning, particularly on the neighborhood and secondary streets, all AAPS schools and offices will be closed,” said Parks in an email addressing AAPS families.
All afterschool activities are canceled as well.
