On Oct. 24, Clague had their Harvest Moon fun night to celebrate the end of Quarter One. The fun night was Halloween themed, and students were allowed and encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. The night started off at 5 p.m., with the usual fun night activities being available, including a dance floor, a movie room, and basketball and volleyball games being played in the gym. There were also games available in the tech hallway, including giant UNO and Connect Four, as well as other board games.
“I really enjoyed the entire night,” eighth grader Macklan Lusk said. “I especially enjoyed the food. I thought the trunk or treat at the end of the night was cool.”
Most students spent their time on the dance floor, in the gym, and at the food area in the main lobby. At around 6:30 p.m. everybody started making their way to the main lobby to line up for the Harvest Moon fun night tradition of Trunk or treat. Sixth grade went first at around 6:45 p.m. and eighth graders going at around 6:55 p.m. Students were dismissed after they went around the circle drive collecting candy from tables set up by Clague parents and volunteers. There will be an eighth grade only fun night on Dec. 5, and the next school wide fun night will most likely be at the end of quarter two in January but there will be a winter blast during school on Dec. 19, the last day of school before winter break.
