Gear up for March Madness

When it comes to the postseason in spring sports, there is absolutely nothing that compares to college basketball. There are reasons why it is called March Madness, also known as the ‘Big Dance.’ The NCAA Tournament is a spectacle, and in the midst of a pandemic, it is all the more worth watching. 68 college teams compete in a span of two weeks in a ‘one and done’ format. They are randomly grouped across conferences and the story of ‘Cinderella’ applies to the teams that emerge as surprise winners. And for some fans, the most intriguing part is to fill in their perfect bracket on who will reach the Final Four and win the tournament – be it for fun, bragging rights, or betting. And, if you are late to the men’s basketball, we have the NCAA women’s basketball that is picking up steam. So, go ahead and fill out your men’s and women’s basketball picks today for the remainder of the March Madness!

There are lots of surprises and the road to the Final Four keeps all basketball fans on their toes. Beyond the First Four qualifying games, the road to the National Championship is termed as Round of 64, Round of 32, Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, Final Four.  The Round of 64 began on March 19th and the Michigan Wolverines are the only Michigan team to qualify for the Round of 32, and Wolverines’ fans certainly hope that they will move on to the Final Four and eventually win the National Championship.
