Angela Chen, Staff Writer

Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself

A: “I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI I attended Northside Elementary, Clague Middle School and Huron High School. I am a father of two, married to Angelique Eulalia. I have an eighteen year old daughter, Avani, and a son named Ashon, who is an eighth grader at Clague.”

Q. What has been your favorite part of the school year?

A: “I would say the distribution day, because that was the opportunity to actually see some of our new students, and our new families and all of our previous Clague Cougars and staff, that I haven’t seen, so that would be my favorite part.”

Q. What is one goal you have for this year?

My goal is to keep everyone positive and optimistic about the potential of what’s next, that includes students, staff, and parents.”

Q. What is your favorite class and why?

A: “I really enjoyed teaching 2nd grade, that was really fun because you see a lot of growth in the students from the beginning of 2nd grade to the end of the school year, they really absorb a lot of information, and start to soar! So I couldn’t say one class, but I would say my favorite form of education is being a 2nd grade teacher.”

Q. What Hobbies/Sports do you do?

A: “Glad you asked! I love chopping wood, I enjoy chopping it, I enjoy burning it, and I enjoy cooking with it. I used to love playing football, baseball, and track and field. Strength training and cardio is much safer.”

Q. So I’m guessing you like camping?

A: “Here’s the thing, not really! I’ve only done it a couple of times, because I have allergies, and I’m allergic to everything outdoors, so, everytime I went camping I had to take so much medicine, and it was just not fun. My allergies act up too much, but I really do enjoy being by a fire! Especially by the ocean, if possible! But anytime there is a fire, count me in!”
