This past Saturday, Feb. 23, two Clague Science Olympiad (SciOly) teams, Clague Red, or the primary team, and Clague Blue, the secondary team, participated in Holts Invitational. A total of 50 teams participated from all over Michigan, but Clague Red secured the first-place trophy to return home as Holts Invitational champions.
Medals were awarded to the top three places in each event, and ribbons for places four to eight.
“For the team to win, every event must do well,” Clague eighth grader Edwin Liang part of the Clague Red team, said. “All our events must be consistent to do well. All of the team members and coaches put in a lot of effort to keep Clague SciOly running.”
