Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: “My name is Judy Choi, and I’m in eighth grade. Mi fecha de nacimiento es tres de junio de dos mil diez. I play bass and piano, and I’m in the jazz band at Clague. I like to read– actually, I like buying books with pretty colors and illustrations. That’s honestly the main reason I read.”
Q: What is your favorite class and why?
A: “My favorite class is probably Jazz Band. Looking at the band instruments is really inspiring… because since I’m in orchestra, I was never really able to see the band instruments up close. So I think it’s pretty interesting, and I would love to learn a band instrument if I ever get a chance! Especially the saxophone.”
Q: What hobbies/sports/clubs do you do and why do you like them?
A: “For my personal hobbies, I draw and write! I don’t know when I started drawing. But I remember in first grade, a Pokemon inspired me, so I started drawing Pokemons. From there, I moved on and started drawing humans. I think I enjoy it more than drawing Pokemons. I also play tennis, swim, and run in cross country/winter running. I enjoy going out and running when the weather is nice, or when I’m feeling down. When I breathe in the fresh air, it feels really nice– and it almost feels like everything is being washed off of me.”
Q: What is something you are proud of?
A: “I am proud of the moments I’ve created in my life. Like after finishing a big concert, after I finish a four mile run or after I get a good grade in a certain class. After I pass an audition or after I practice my instrument and I sound good on the next day. These are all moments I’m proud of, and I’m looking forward to making more proud moments for myself to keep, and remember again.”
Q: What’s an interesting/unique fact about yourself?
A: “My most used emoji is the monkey emoji. I use it the most because I love monkeys, and I send it to my friends a lot.”
