Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: “My name is Andre Yang. I am a sixth grader at Clague. I am 11 years old and I like to play Chess, Badminton, and Soccer.
Q: How long have you been playing Badminton?
A: “I started to learn Badminton when I was in second grade, in China.”
Q: What is your favorite class and why?
A: “My favorite class is PE because you get to come out of all of the studying and you get to have fun with your friends.”
Q: What hobbies/sports/clubs do you do and why do you enjoy them?
A: “I like to play chess. I am in Science Olympiad. I like Science Olympiad, because you get to experiment with interesting knowledge.”
Q: Why did you choose to join SciOly(Science Olympiad)?
A: “Because I did it last year and it was very fun last year.”
Q: What is something you are proud of?
A: “One thing is I got ranked 27th in the U.S. in the 11 age group.” (In chess)
Q: How long have you been playing chess?
A: “Five to six years. I started playing chess when I was in California. There was this event in a library that taught chess.”
Q: What is an interesting/unique fact about yourself?
A: “I got stung by a jellyfish when I was in Hawaii.”
