At 9:44 p.m. on Jan. 15, Ann Arbor Public Schools communicated that on Tuesday, Jan. 16, school will be closed due to the severe temperatures and weather conditions.
“The closure decision is based on predicted dangerously low wind chill temperatures of up to 20 below, with concerns particularly for our bus riders and walkers,” the AAPS announcement said.
The details regarding after-school activities will be updated mid-day tomorrow.
“As is our commitment, when possible, we are sharing this school weather closure announcement tonight in order to give families some time to make arrangements,” AAPS communicated.
