1964
The Honda Company all started with a dream. Soichiro Honda had the idea of putting auxiliary engines on bicycles, and he dreamt of making a company that would produce these for commercial sale. The Honda Company first started out making motorcycles, not cars.
1954
The Honda company developed racing motorcycles in hard times. Years later, they would become regular competitors and winners of the TT series, winning many races in other areas.
1963
Honda ventures into automobile production, releasing the T360 Mini Truck and the S500 sports car. In 1964, their RA271 Formula 1 racing car debuted at the German Grand Prix. 24 years later, they set world records by getting 15 out of 16 wins in Formula 1 racing.
1981
Honda developed the world’s first car navigation system, giving it a huge boost against the rest of the market. The Honda Electro Gyrator was small, precise, and cheap to manufacture.
2000
The Honda Asimo finally releases and can mimic precise human movements like walking. Honda’s first foray into humanoid robotics was a success and soon opened up many possibilities and dreams. It could perform a large number of complex tasks.
2015
The HondaJet achieves FAA-type certification and begins deliveries to customers. It marks a big milestone for Honda Aviation. It is a small, compact, and efficient jet.
2017
The Honda Super Cub, first designed 60 years ago as one of Honda’s pride and joys, reaches 100 million units produced. The Super Cub has always been a huge hit.
