Big fans were blowing and the carpet was stained with water. On Sept. 30 there was a flood in the library. According to principal Kyron Harvell, the construction team shut down the water on Saturday and ran tests to check the system.
“When the water was turned back on there were some issues with valves which caused water to flood a portion of the library and a few ceiling tiles which are currently being repaired to come off,” Harvell said. “The team is currently working to address this, and fans have been running in the library since Saturday evening.”
According to McLean, the only damage is the carpet being stained.
“The fans have been running all week and I will continue to run them through this weekend,” McLean said.
She hopes the carpet will be completely dry soon.
