The Ann Arbor District Library (AADL) is hosting its annual writing contest. As usual, there is the kids’ short story contest, “Write On!” for grades 3 – 5, as well as the teen short story, poetry, and flash fiction contest, “It’s All Write!” for grades 6 – 12.

The teen contest will be accepting submissions from Jan. 10 to March 6. Judging is separated into three categories by grade; 6-8, 9&10, and 11&12. There will be “fabulous prizes” for the top three winners in each category. The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 21. This link has more information.

The kids’ contest is open from Jan. 10 to Feb. 7. The top three winners of each grade will get a prize, and the awards ceremony is going to be held on April 23, featuring a children’s author. More information can be found here.
