A2 Vintage is a vintage store in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It is located on 130 W Michigan Ave and sells vintage clothing and music. Debby also known as Mama Deb is the mother of the owner of the shop. 

“The shop is my daughter’s,” Mam Deb said. “I help her. She finds the clothes. We sell vintage clothes from the 70’s – 90’s we also sell vinyl records, cassettes, and CD’s.”

The shop has been in the city for 12 years. Mama Deb loves her job.

“I like the diversity of the people that come in and we have a great time,” Mama Deb said. “ We have great conversations and lots of different attitudes and music. I meet a lot of people. Ypsi’s got a lot of great people and kids who care.”

Mama Deb’s daughter started the shop because she had always had an interest in old clothing.

“She always had an interest in vintage clothing, military clothing, and motorcycle clothing,” Mama Deb said. “ It just kind of snowballed into a business that started to get more and more clothing and people who followed her and liked what she was doing.” 

But music isn’t the only item customers are looking for.

 “But right now I think it would be clothing,” she said. “People are always changing up their clothing.”

Mama Deb loves customers.

“It’s a great shop for someone to come in and see what vintage clothing is all about,” Mama Deb said. “So come on in and check us out, see how we’re doing.”
