On Oct. 3, 2024, the second Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) hybrid meeting was held at 6 p.m. ET. President of the PTSO, Betzy McCarty, discussed the budget for the school year, upcoming activities, welcomed new staff to the community, and regarded matters over Clague’s happenings.
The most recent additions to the Clague faculty were introduced at the meeting: Ryan Soupal, Assistant Principal, and Allison Jeter, Literary Assistant, who both started on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024.
Allison Jeter is also the PTSO Vice President who transported the endowment of two 11v11 soccer goals on Clague’s front door step. CRUSH, a travel soccer team, had the thoughtful donation given so students could continue their passions in soccer.
“Crush partners with many local schools throughout the year in support of the community,” Jeter said. “The soccer players at Clague are the new owners of beautiful equipment that will serve Clague for many years.”
Clague Social Worker, Chelsea Knight, has initiated the return of the Clague Winter Giving. Snow gear, holiday gifts, and necessary appliances will be donated and allotted to families in need, including the 12 that have already requested for this distribution of generosity for the season. With careful accounting from McCarty, the predicted outlook for the Clague budget was determined and voted upon during the meeting. The prospective income was calculated to be approximately $28,900, and the cost of Clague’s total expenses to be at $38,820. This results in an estimated deficit of $9,920 and is expected to be resolved as the school year progresses.
Additionally, in an effort to alleviate the deficit, Clague will also be hosting its first Fun Run in the spring — more updates to follow!
Approaching dates to mark on the calendar are:
