Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: “I am Naomi, and I am 12 years old. I am visiting Ann Arbor this school year from Israel with my family. I like to play basketball, hang out with my friends from school, and travel with my family to various places in Michigan and the United States. I enjoy my time in Ann Arbor and at Clague, making great friends and seeing many new places.”
Q: What is your favorite class and why?
A: “I have a few favorite classes. I enjoyed my art class with Ms. Griesinger and my ELA class with Mr. Donnelly because they are fun and interesting.”
Q: What hobbies/sports/clubs do you do and why do you like them?
A: “I like being involved in sports. In Israel, I played basketball in school and in a youth league, but coming here gave me the opportunity to get involved in other sports like swimming, soccer, running, and, of course, basketball. I like playing sports and spending time with the team. I also like reading, hiking, and just spending time with my family and friends.”
Q: What is something you are proud of?
A: “I am proud of myself for learning English this year. When I came to Ann Arbor, I didn’t know English very well and knew no one in school. During the year, I learned English, got involved with Clague, and made great new friends.”
Q: What’s an interesting/unique fact about yourself?
A: “Although I am Israeli, I am actually a Badger. I was born on the other side of Lake Michigan in Madison, Wisconsin, and moved to Israel when I was just a baby.”
