Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: “I’m a seventh grader who loves reading and writing stories. I’m also 100% Korean, but a lot of my friends are Chinese so people just assume I’m Chinese. I play piano and clarinet, and I also do HOSA and Academic Games. ”
Q: What is your favorite class and why?
A: “My favorite class right now is fourth hour World History with Mr. Bryan. The subject itself doesn’t really pique my interest that much, but Mr. Bryan makes things easy to understand and gives us everything we need to do well on each unit’s test. ”
Q: What hobbies/sports/clubs do you do and why do you like them?
A: “I like being in HOSA because it’s a club that makes learning about medical things more fun. You compete with other people at Regionals, States, and Internationals and see your hard work pay off. I also find it interesting because there are lots of options to choose from. My dream is to become a doctor one day to help people in pain. I like being in Academic Games because all my friends are in it and the games really test my brain. One of my favorite pastimes is reading, as it has a positive impact on my writing skills. Additionally, delving into a fictional world allows me to take a break from reality and experience endless possibilities.”
Q: What is something you are proud of?
A: “I’m proud of getting straight A’s in all seven of my quarters so far, four in sixth and three in seventh. ”
Q: What’s an interesting/unique fact about yourself?
A: “According to my friend Jason, the most interesting thing about me is my adamant refusal to eat with my hands. After COVID, I’m too afraid to eat things with my hands. Yes, I have hand sanitizer, but forks are quicker and they exist for a reason, right? ”
