Candy Grams and blind dates with a book are an acknowledgment of February and its common themes: Valentines, admiration, and love—which are all expressed in Clague’s approaching Fun Night. With the assistance from generous donations and obliging parent volunteers, the second Fun Night of the school year will be hosted on Feb. 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
“It’s fun, there are a lot of activities,” 7th grader Yuri Kim said. “I really like the henna station at the first fun night, it was a cool experience.”
Besides henna, the various activities include dancing, crafts, karaoke, as well as the recent arrival of Bingo to Fun Night’s array of games. But accessing and experiencing each activity involves several requirements to be met: within the month of February a VOE, detention, and/or suspension can not be received, and an entry fee of $5 must be present on the day of.
“I am pretty excited,” 8th grader Jackson Pitts said, “mostly to hang out with friends since I live far away from the school.”
Volunteers are crucial as well to ensure this event continues. To prevent the probable cancellation of Fun Night and support some student fun, parents are encouraged to click here to volunteer.
