Braden Tall is an eighth grader at Clague who excels at both his sport and studies. He enjoys cycling and has participated in many races and events since the discovery of his passion. Tall shares that he started out cycling after seeing an advertisement for it.

“Since then, I have gone to almost all the practices and races,” Tall said.

He adds that his most memorable moment so far is going to Waterloo, Wisconsin with his team every year to compete in the World Cup races. The Trek CX Cup is a competitive but fun event featuring cyclists of all kinds held from Oct. 13-15 (as of this year). It includes an exciting course full of cheering fans and a chance at winning some extra cash.

“Going to the race is a great experience to see pros and race with different people,” Tall said.

His advice for new cyclists is to “come to a practice and just ride. You don’t need to be fast to come to a practice, you need to an interest in trying.”
